Beyond magical for children and so special for parents

arrived to log fire burning and gift box and card, also gift for the dog and choc santas on kids beds, they were thrilled. Forest Glade is so clean and had everything we needed for our new year anniversary stay. Fern was brilliant and brought fresh logs whenever we asked (possibly even New years day hangover, lol). Due to weather we couldnt explore as much as we would have liked to so we will come back in warmer weather. Thanks for making our stay great. Ps made up we got to see a fox the day before we left. Thank you for my chocolate santa . I had a lot of fun staying in the forest glade. My favourite thing was looking for animals. one morning we saw a fox and couple of feet away. we will definately be coming back in the summer, thank you from Kiera

We and the dogs had a great time here really ideal to get away from it all. It was really modern for an old caravan and everything world perfectly except the free view, but it wasn't specified in the utilities so it was a nice bonus when it did work. the little touches where nice like the board games and dvds. The fire was amazing keeps the entire place nice and toasty. Plenty of adventure for our two dogs who loved it. Can't wait to stay again and bring friends. wonderfull place.

A very enjoyable stay

Found Woodland Escapes whilst looking for self catering in Shropshire and we are very pleased we did. We spent an enjoyable week in the Forest Glade home using it as our base for day trips to Ludlow Castle, Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park - all within thirty minutes drive. The home itself was very comfortable for the three of us - especially the beds - and very good value for money - better accommodation than our Haven days in younger years. The location is lovely and secluded on the Bowketts private road and you are almost completely surrounded by the woods and the nature contained within. You can sit out in the evenings and BBQ or around the fire pit. On our first night we spent time outside in the dark just watching the Perseid Meteor Shower and listening to the Owls - if you are a star watcher this place is amazing for a dark sky experience. If you have younger children you will need to supervise any visits of the woods as this is a hillside location with a few steep slopes but great for exploring as a family. We will certainly be returning in the future.

Wonderful sunny weekend in the woods! So peaceful and amazing views. The children (and Bertie the Whippet) loved exploring. Beautiful cup cakes delivered by our hosts in celebration of the royal wedding which was a lovely touch. Thank you for a fab weekend.

Perfect base for our first visit to Shropshire

We've had a lovely week; a great base for so many visits - Ludlow and its castle and shops, Stokesay castle, Berrington Hall, Severn Valley Railway, Carding Mill Valley and Long Mynd for a good walk and Ironbridge and its museums. So nice to come back to our own van for advertures in the woods and cost evenings in front of the fire. We stopped at the markets in Ludlow (plus the Mousetrap for cheese!) and the Ludlow Food Centre on the A49. We'll have to come back - there is still so much to see and do. Thanks for a great stay!

Peaceful beautiful rustic retreat.

Perfect for being totally immersed in the wonder and beauty of nature. Home is perfect, log fire is mesmerising, ideal for the colder winter nights. Thank you and we'll definately be back.

The perfect last minute break

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Forest Glade. The caraven was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Despitea couple of minor mishaps (out of anyones control) Fern and Penny sorted them our without hesitation. Our dog Bonnie loved the woods and we went on some lovely walks. We will be back again!
