Dog Policy
We want you and your dog(s) to have a lovely break together. However, in order to ensure that all our guests have an enjoyable time, we have to ask that all dog owners observe our Dog Policy:
- A maximum of three well behaved dogs are permitted in our properties (we do not recommend more than three dogs in Rowan Tree Lodge due to its size).
- Dogs should not be left unattended in your property. Even if your dog is used to being left at home, they can become distressed in unfamiliar surroundings. Information about local dog friendly walks, attractions and places where you and your dog can enjoy a day out can be found on our website. We also offer a dog walking/sitting service from just £25.00 for 4 hours. Please see the information on our website for more details.
- Dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture, including beds. Our bed linen is extremely delicate and expensive – Any damaged or soiled bed linen caused by dogs will result in a £60.00 charge payable before or after you leave the premises.
- Your dog is free to roam in our 15 acres of private woodland but please be aware we may have other guests with dogs on the property. If your dog is not good with other dogs, then it is paramount that they are kept on a lead – we do not want any accidents on your holiday with us and we want to keep everyone safe during their stay.
- It is your responsibility to clear up all dog mess during, and at the end of, your stay. Bagged waste should be disposed of in the landfill bins provided.
- You may not use the bath towels or robes provided to bathe and dry your dog. Any damage to towels will result in a £30.00 charge payable before or after you leave the premises.
- As we only have a limited time to prepare the properties for the next guests, it is important that it is as free of dog hairs as possible. A dustpan and brush is provided for you under the kitchen sink. Please feel free to use them if your dog is molting.
We are sure you will agree that the above are just common sense. However, if you have any queries or concerns, we will be happy to discuss them with you. We find that most problems can be solved if we are made aware of them at the time of booking.
