West Midlands Safari Park holds over 165 species of exotic animals, among other attractions such as a small theme park. The park contains the largest groups of white lions, cheetahs, hippopotamuses, and meerkats in the UK, as well as the largest  lemur walk-through exhibit. It was also the first park in the UK to have the African big five animals. Located just 35 minutes drive away. 

Ironbridge Set within the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ironbridge Valley of Invention is situated 5 miles from Telford Town Centre in Shropshire. Stretching along the River Severn, our award-winning museums are within 6 square miles of the Ironbridge Gorge, widely regarded as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

Berrington Hall 

Owned by the National Trust, Berrington Hall is a neoclassical mansion by Henry Holland set in 'Capability' Brown's final landscape and gardens. Georgian grandeur on a human scale with stunning landscapes gardens and views. Just 20 minutes drive from Woodland Escapes. 

Witley Court 

Discover the secrets and stories of a lost world at this magnificent country house. Built in the 17th century and remodelled in Victorian times, disaster struck in 1937 when a fire ripped through the Italianate building.

Today it’s the perfect place for a family adventure, with dramatic ruins, beautiful gardens and wild woodlands waiting to be explored. There’s even an amazing play area for children inspired by nature, with a tree house, wobbly bridge and outdoor musical instruments.

Attingham Park 

Georgian Mansion built to impress and commissioned in 1782 for Noel Hill, 1st Lord Berwick. Picture gallery was designed by John Nash. Walled kitchen garden and orchard from around 1780s. Includes a bothy and glasshouses growing fruit, vegetables and flowers. National Collection of camassia flowers in May. Includes woodland, walk routes, deer park and a variety of wildlife, River Tern runs through the estate. Designated SSSI for saproxylic insects.

Stokesay Castle

Standing in a peaceful Shropshire valley near the Welsh border, Stokesay Castle has survived remarkably intact since a leading wool merchant, Laurence of Ludlow, built it in the late 13th century. His fine fortified manor house was both comfortable and impressive, designed as a statement of his wealth and power.

Today, barely touched by the passage of years, the castle offers a unique insight into life in medieval England. Stokesay Castle is located just 20 minutes drive from Woodland Escapes.

Burford House Garden Centre in Tenbury Wells is your one-stop shop for all your gardening needs. Whether you are just getting started on your first garden project or are a seasoned gardener, you can enjoy quality and value at our garden centre. The restaurant serves delicious meals, snacks, afternoon teas, and specials daily.

Walk through this historical estate and enjoy the stunning sites of the house and gardens.
